Marion Catlin

Designer and  creative producer Culture Shift
Picture
Looking back to my childhood I was always a maker and loved reading, writing, drawing from the very start . I also liked organising people and making things happen. A natural campaigner. It is not that I have every set out to do these things, but like water running down a hill, it is what I am.

Creative projects and  being an audience to other people's creativity is what stimulates and excites me, almost whatever it is.
And in dark and unhappy times, arts and culture have coloured in my life, when it felt grey and colourless, lacklustre and not worth having - I remember  feeling very down and going to a  live lit Poetry Club gig in the  Bicycle Shop and as I sat there, I felt the colour washing back into me, warming me and bringing me back to life.
Culture colours people's lives.
