What is What Next? Norfolk?
What Next? is a national movement bringing together arts and cultural organisations from across the UK to articulate and strengthen the role of culture in our society, through informed conversations with each other, audiences, policy makers, community leaders, politicians, funders, academics, business people and the public.
What Next? Norfolk is the local Chapter of What Next? which meets weekly to enable people involved in the arts to actively advocate the value of the work they do. There are also chapters in Great Yarmouth, Suffolk and Cambridge.
There are open meetings each week, Wednesdays 1-2pm at The Playroom, Norwich Playhouse, St George's Street Norwich
(location occasionally subject to change).
For notifications and meeting notes please email firstname.lastname@example.org who will add you to an email list

What Next? Admin/Comms secondment
We are looking for someone to work with Hannah and Clare to help with the operational side of supporting the national movement. The time commitment would be a few hours a week and the main responsibilities would be scheduling national meetings, managing social media and maintaining the What Next? website.
This is a great opportunity for someone to experience working with What Next? and connecting with cultural organisations and individuals across the UK. This work is unpaid - so we are looking for an individual who can be seconded to this activity. Can be based anywhere in the UK. If anyone is interested or you think this would suit a member of staff and would like to discuss further please contact email@example.com or firstname.lastname@example.org
Gulbenkian Inquiry into the Civic Role of Arts Organisations
What Next? is working with the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation and the Institute of Cultural Capital (ICC) on an Inquiry into the Civic Role of Arts Organisations. The first phase of the Inquiry (until December 2016) is focused on research, mapping the landscape, defining what we mean by 'civic' and the 'civic role' and identifying examples of existing great practice.
