Christina Lister, Communications and marketing consultant will be joining us to talk about different marketing and PR approaches to diversifying audiences from a variety of arts/culture projects. Christina is an award-winning marketing and communications consultant specialising in working with museums, heritage sites and cultural venues on strategy, training and campaigns. Her clients have included SHARE Museums East; Cambridge Museum of Zoology; Great Malvern: Route to the Hills; Tunbridge Wells Museum & Art Gallery; and the North Norfolk Stories Festival.

Wednesday 6 July – Dr. Jonathan Gross, Researcher, Culture, Media and Creative Industries from Kings College London will be joining us to feed back on some of the key findings from the research done into the Get Creative programme. We will be discussing the headline ideas that have developed through this work, and continue the conversation about Get Creative and its future development - feeding aspects of these conversations back into the Get Creative Steering Group as they shape Year 2 of the campaign.
Wednesday 13 July – LIT Circus will be introducing themselves and showing us around their new venue on Oak Street
Lost in Translation Circus is a fast rising contemporary circus company, touring both indoor and outdoor ensemble based work. They have recently moved to Norwich and just opened The Oak Circus Centre in St. Michaels Coslany Church, as their new company home and local circus centre. Their artistic vision is focussed around combining circus skills with theatre and using the extreme possibilities of the body as a means of expression and communication. They aim to help grow the awareness of contemporary circus in Norwich and the region and developing the local circus community.
Wednesday 20 July – Elly Wilson, Creative Arts East on Arts and Wellbeing - Creative Arts East is an arts and community development charity working with a range of communities across Norfolk, Suffolk and the east to offer volunteering opportunities, health and wellbeing projects and cultural education. The Norfolk Arts and Wellbeing Programme – a large-scale action research project, working across Norfolk. The aim of which was to support local arts organisations to pilot creative interventions for vulnerable older and young people in response to the needs of preventative, early or acute response health and social care provision. We also aimed to pull together a body of evidence which could support further work in this area and could talk to commissioners and the health and wellbeing sector.
Sistema in Norwich – Crowdfunding
Sistema in Norwich changes lives through music. Funds raised will pay for a summer school offering musical activity to 50 children over the long summer holiday. Children from the less well-off parts of Norwich have nearly half the level of academic success of children from the rest of the city. Through learning to play an instrument and being part of an orchestra, children in Sistema develop life changing skills, increased confidence and are helped to succeed across all aspects of their lives.

During January - March 2016 we met with over 300 professional and everyday artists, cultural organisations, community groups, local authorities, academics and others to look at the role of everyday creativity in the cultural landscape and how we can best respond to it as a sector.
